JAVA is an internet language created by Sun microsystems and first implemented by Netscape. It runs programs called APPLETS to allow for complex effects/procedures to be programmed into a page very simply and often times more elaborately that could be done without it. However, a browser must support JAVA to see these applets run.
NETSCAPE versions 2 all the way up to 4.77 all support JAVA natively, as does Internet Explorer 4.
Internet Explorer 5 and above do not support JAVA. Internet Explorer 5 and above can be made to support JAVA with the install of the Sun JAVA Runtime Environment, available at Sun's Website.
Netscape 6 or above will support JAVA only with the installation of the Sun Java Runtime Environment listed above.
Mozilla (open-source version of Netscape) also requires a plugin to view Java, but will take you the plugin site automatically as needed. You can download Mozilla for the Mozilla Website. (Personal note: The web browser is great! I highly recommend it!)
Luckily, you do not need JAVA to view our site. Just use the provided link to view our website without JAVA support.
